Rental Tips for the First-Time Customers
There are things that you, as a Hertz customer, can do to help the car rental process go as smoothly and successfully as possible.
- Determine What You Really Need: Look beyond the cost of the rental and be sure you get a vehicle that's large enough to accommodate all your passengers and all your luggage. Smaller cars are less expensive to rent, but if the car won't serve your purpose, the cheaper price is a waste of money.
- Make Sure You Meet Rental Qualifications: Typically, these include a name that matches on a valid form of payment (credit card) and a valid driver's license. You usually must also meet or exceed a minimum age requirement of 20, which your driver's license should reflect.
- Book in Advance and Verify Your Guarantee: The closer to your pickup date you arrange your rental, the more it will cost you. Book as far in advance as you can to get the best rates and assure the vehicle you want is available. Once you have a quote, verify how long the rate guarantee will be in place.
