If you need more help with your tax returns, you can add Xpert Assist7 and get one-on-one help from a CPA or other tax expert. With Xpert Assist, you’ll have the option to reach out as many times as needed for help with your returns. You can either get help in the moment or schedule a callback time to talk with an expert.

TaxAct can import the data you filed last year with us or your return from PDF files of 1040 returns prepared by many but not all tax prep software solutions.

W-2 Import:  To capture your W-2 with a camera with your phone, you must be able to download and install TaxAct's mobile app and grant it the necessary camera and image privileges. To ensure accuracy, we will ask you to review any information we're able to import (either through PDF import, prior year import, or W-2 photo capture) and review it for accuracy.
